Shenzhen DARKRIM Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "the Company"), as the operator of the DARKRIM software (including mobile and desktop clients, collectively referred to as the "App"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our services, including but not limited to device connectivity, audio settings, and firmware updates (collectively, the "Services").

- Core Functions and Services
- Device Connectivity & Management: To identify and manage your devices, we require Bluetooth permissions (mobile) or communication via USB/2.4G wireless receivers (PC). We may collect device identifiers (model, firmware version, serial number, MAC address), connection status, and pairing logs.
- Audio Customization: To provide sound mode switching and EQ (Equalizer) settings, we record your audio preference profiles.
- Firmware Updates: To detect and install updates, we may require access to device storage (to download update packages) and collect current firmware version data.
- "Find My Headset" (Mobile Only): If you use this feature, we require precise location data (GPS and network-based) to locate your device. This function is only effective within Bluetooth range or if the hardware supports independent positioning.
- Battery Status: We collect and display real-time battery levels of your connected hardware.
- Service Stability & Analytics: To ensure the App runs correctly, we collect basic system data.Mobile: Device model, OS version, unique identifiers (e.g., Android ID/IDFA), and network info.PC: Computer brand, system architecture (x64), OS version, and IP address.
- Crash Reporting: In the event of an error, we collect crash logs (timestamps, error types, process information). These reports do not include your identity or audio content and are used solely for diagnostic purposes.
- Account Services (Where Applicable)
- Registration: If you create an account, we collect your phone number or email address for identity verification and essential notifications.
- Third-Party Login: If you use third-party accounts (e.g., Apple ID, WeChat), we obtain your unique identifier (OpenID/UnionID) and public profile (avatar/nickname) as authorized by you. We do not access your third-party passwords.
- Additional Features (Subject to Explicit Consent)
- Voice Assistant Integration: Requires microphone access to receive commands. Audio processing is typically handled by the voice assistant provider (e.g., the OS manufacturer); we do not store your voice recordings.
- System Notifications: Used for low-battery alerts or connection status updates.
- Extended Storage Access: Used for exporting user profiles, logs, or custom settings.
- Important Notes on Permissions
- Purpose Limitation: We will only use your information for the purposes stated. Any new use cases will be disclosed via updates or in-app pop-ups to obtain your consent.
- System Permissions: Sensitive permissions (Location, Microphone) are requested via system prompts. You may revoke these in your system settings at any time, though this may disable specific features.
- Desktop (PC) Environment: The PC client may require administrative privileges or access to specific system folders to install drivers, save configuration files, or perform firmware writes. We will not access your private personal files.
II. Data Storage and Security
- Storage Location: Personal data collected within the People's Republic of China is stored domestically. We do not transfer your data across borders unless required by law or with your explicit consent.
- Retention Period: We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services or as required by law. Once the retention period expires, data is deleted or anonymized.
- Security Measures: We implement industry-standard safeguards, including TLS/SSL encryption, access controls, and de-identification, to protect against unauthorized access or disclosure. While no system is 100% secure, we maintain a robust emergency response plan for potential security incidents.
III. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only under the following circumstances:
- With Consent: When you have provided explicit authorization.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with laws, regulations, or requests from judicial/administrative authorities.
- Authorized Partners: We may share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, technical support, crash analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

- Our Services are intended for users with full legal capacity.
- Minors under 18 must use the App under the guidance of a parent or guardian.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If a guardian discovers we have collected such data without consent, please contact us immediately, and we will delete the information promptly.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our business or legal requirements. Material changes (such as changes in data usage or sharing) will be notified via prominent in-app notifications or pop-ups. Your continued use of the Services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
